Problem with call transfer

I have two sites

Site A: I have digital phones hanging off a Fujitsu 9600 PABX. This is then connected to a Cisco AS5300 gateway with IOS c5300-js-mz.121-3a.XI2.bin.

Site B: I have IP phones and Call Managers 3.1 with a 3725 gateway using IOS c3725-is-mz.122-13.T.bin.

The situation is if site A digital call site B IP phone everything is OK. Site B then transfer (or call forward all) to an external mobile number via the 3725 gateway with an E1 connection, the call just dropped.

I have tested routing between the two gateways and everything is OK.

Anybody come across this problem before or know whether IOS on the two gateways are OK.

Thanks

You have to check the CODEC in inbound and outbound call transfer. If there is a mismatch the call will fail.

Also check for the Media Termination Point Configuration MTP setting on the Call Manager under the gateway settings i.e the route-point will point

to a gateway to send Calls To the GSM

More information of MTP can be found at :-

I like to ask how can I check the CODEC for inbound and outbound call transfer?

I thought with H323 v2 there is no need to create MTP to provide supplementary services. Is this correct?

The codec for inbound and outbound call transfer can be found using the command

show dial-peer voice

show call active voice brief | compact

if it is an mgcp call you can use

show rtp call or in general u can use show rtp connection
