Question ref Call Manager User Options Web Page Speed Dials

Hi all,

In the Call Manager 4.x User Options Web Page under the speed dial settings it gives me the choice if specifiying speed dials to be associated with speed dial buttons and also speed dials not associated with speed dial buttons. What is the point in the latter? If you can't associate speed dials with a button what good is it? (or what am I missing?) Thanks!

All speed dials, whether associated to a line button or not, can be accessed via on-hook abrreviated dialing.

For example, with the handset on the hook, press a digit and you will see the AbbrDial softkey appear. You are dialing with the speed dial index number.
