CUCM does not care about the CUE license. You basically need to setup the VM ports, Pilot number, hunt group, etc. Point it the IP address of CUE Router. On the router, make sure you have CUE configured correctly. The license file, Im not sure about. Is it in the flash or you may have to email licensing@cisco.com with your smartnet contract, serial number of router, etc to look up the license key for you to resend.

just to add something a little different. the license is significant since you can have either a CCME or CUCM license (not both)installed on the CUE. to integrate with CUCM you have to have the appropriate license on CUE. also read the install guides for CUE and there are defined versions of the CUE for versions of the CUCM.

also, you can go and download the appropriate license file on the software page, no need to contact licensing team (This is actually the answer for your question, this is provided you have a CCO id with the appropriate level of access.

basically, you log into the CLI of the CUE and do a software install (there are a few options). have the appropriate packages (make sure you have the lang pack as well), place on a TFTP server and run the install. then do the same for the license after all is completed. if your version is already compatible then all you need to do is install the license you downloaded on the software page ,save, reboot, configure user, hunt, cti,vm profile, transcoding (if required) etc

Hi Kolawole,

Just to add a note to the great help you have received so far from my friend Tommer and Arvind. The License file is really just a text file so no worries on the size. I just wanted to verify that the one you have downloaded is for 12 mailboxes only (just so you know :)

Hope this helps!
