Redundancy on Extension Mobility

Dear All,

I have two CCM Server 4.0. One is the publisher and the other is subscriber.

Extension Mobility has subscribed on 7960G IP Phone. However, when publisher failed. I cannot login / logout with extension mobility.

Is there any redundancy for extension mobility? How can it be done?

Thanks and Regards,

C.K.

What you experince is expected.

Whilst you can continue to use EM on failover, you cannot login/logout because that requires access to the master DB on the Publisher. The same goes for all features that require DB writes (i.e. CFwdAll, Call back etc).

At present, there is no other alternative to this issue if the Publisher is down.

Hi,

Is there any reference link or document mention this?

Thanks.

As a temporary solution until you get the Publisher back up you can tell the Subscriber to look at it's own DC directory by changing the following registry key: -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SOFTWARE

Cisco Systems Inc.

Directory Configuration

LDAPURL

from "ldap://PUBNAME:8404"

to "ldap://SUBNAME:8404"
