Is there any problems with installing a Compaq Insight Board into a MCS7835? Will Cisco still support the MCS if the the Insight Board is installed? Just wanted to have another option for getting to the Call Manager in an emergency.

Not officially supported.

We use Compaq RIB cards in all of Call Manager servers (up to 15 MCS7835's now). We have not had any issues with the cards or with TAC. TAC and our local Cisco Account team have both informed that TAC cannot support the RIB card and we may need to pull the cards at TAC's request during troubleshooting.
The RIB's have saved me some midnight road trips on several occasions.

We will be implementing Compaq Insight Manager XE on all of our Windows 2000 and WinNT servers. The Compaq Manager Agent 4.9 is already running on the CallManager publisher and subscriber, although no polling of hardware data is currently taking place. As part of the project, all server admins have been asked to upgrade the management agent to 5.1. At a future point, polling will take place by a central server running the Insight Manager XE console/web interface. However, understanding that third-party software is NOT recommended, nor supported for CallManager servers, we would appreciate any recommendations for moving forward with the CallManager servers.
Does anyone have Compaq Insight Manager XE running and polling data from CallManager servers successfully?
Thanks in advance, Ginger
