We need an Ata for servicing a machine remote. The connection is thru the ISDN to a 2821 to the ATA and then to the Modem. The speed is only 2400 bits. How can I speed up the ATA to 56k?
Thanks for helping!

Officialy modems are not supported on the ATA. I think nothing much can be done on this aspect and you need to check for other alternatives.

What do you think about "other alternatives"?

we've been able to dial thru ATA's but you'll have to crank your baud rate down to like 38400 on the calling machine in order for it to work. I think you can pretty much rule out 56k.

Could you kindly let me know the config in the ATA and your IOS gateway that allowed the ATA's to work as a modem? We cannot get it to work no matter what we try. We're thinking of going with Linksys Sip instead to get this to work. Thanks for any help you can provide.
