Subscriber Server WWW Service Shutdown Problem

Hi.

Following Cisco Recommendations we shutdown WWW Service on all Subscriber Servers within the cluster leaving just the publisher up and running. Now on the event viewer on each subscriber I have an error all the time. I think is related with the Performance Monitor Counters but I can't figure it out a way to eliminate the error.

The error is as follow:

Source: IISInfoCtrs

Type: Error

Event ID: 1003

Description: Unable to query the IIS Info Service performance data. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced,

-Jose

There is a MS kb article for this issue:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/201638/EN-US/

According to this KB article, the cause is:

"These errors are caused when a server is being analyzed using Performance Monitor and the IIS Admin Service is stopped or

restarted, or when the IIS counters are added when the IIS Admin Service is not running."

There have been some changes to the RIS DC service in CCN 4.0 to query some Performance Monitor counters. If you have 4.0 you will see these messages, if IIS or WWW Pub is disabled, even though you don't have Perfmon or RTMT running.
