TCD causes CPU to spike at 100%

We are running Call Manager 3.3(4)sr2. We are experiencing delays at the ip phones when the handset is lifted or soft keys selected. This appears to correspond with the call manager cpu spiking at 100%. The spikes are caused by the TCD service. I have stopped TCD for now as a temporary fix.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar problem a few months ago with the same cm release.

Don't really know if the problem is related to the TCD service. In my case the system performed the database backup once a day and during the backup the server reached 100%. I changed the time of the backup to midnight and reduced the database size and it works fine now.
