Can you assist me with finding documentation that supports Unity being hearing impaired compliant by government standards. Thank you.

Hi -

Here is a document on Cisco's website that I have referenced - http://www.cisco.com/wwl/regaffairs/images/pdf/accessibility_matrix_unified_communications_solutions.pdf

BTW - are you running Unity unified messaging? With the ViewMail for Outlook client running on the user's PC and Cisco IP phone, there are visual cues to voicemail - the icon in the Outlook inbox and the MWI light on the phone. Voicemail playback can be set to PC speakers or phone - although I've not looked at further amplification methods.

Regards, Ginger

Also, Unity 4.0(3) will be shipping with a language for TTY (ENX - US English TTY/TDD) that's installable as any other phone language. There will be docs published with how to use it when it releases in a few weeks as well.

You can also check out TTY Angel - this tool ships with 4.0(3) as well so you can fiddle with the abbreviation dictionary and quickly create TTY/TDD audio text applications with it. The help file goes into how this works and talks about how you can use it with older versions of Unity to create a TTY/TDD "prompt set" if you like - you can get this on it's home page here:
