Hi,
I am trying to upgrade publisher from 3.2(2c) SPH to 3.3(3). I I have installed Cisco Backup version 3.5.53 which runs fine, no errors in the backup log. I run the Upgrade assistant and it fails telling me the MCS.STI is not a valid backup file.
I have also tried it with Backup version 3.5.44.
any idea why this is happening or what I can do to trouble-shoot it?

If you are getting a message like the following:
11-28-2003 14:40:22.766:BkupFileCk: ERR:C:\Temp\MCS.sti does not appear to be a valid backup file.
11-28-2003 14:40:22.766:BkupFileCk: ERR:Catalog file has zero byte size.
You are hitting bug ID CSCec69693 and CSCed18034 both bug are duplicate of eachother.
Luis.

Thanks Luis,
it's similar. My message is
06-08-2004 15:35:17.906:BkupFileCk: ERR:C:\CCM Backups\MCS.sti does not appear to be a valid backup file.
06-08-2004 15:35:17.906:BkupFileCk: ERR:No CallManager Detail Record database backup data found.
.
I'll try the upgrade and seeif it works.

You are probably getting the failure since you have not enabled CDR's. The release note of CSCeb38362 will provide you with the details of this test.
