Upgrade from 3.3(4) to 4.1(2)

I just want to verify the following. The only way to upgrade to 4.1(2) is to have a valid 3.3(4) installation. I can't just rebuild the server from scratch, install fresh 4.1(2) and restore from 3.3(4) backup. Is that correct? Thanks.

You are correct. You can upgrade from a valid 3.3.4 to 4.1.2 (you need the 4.1.2 cd's!).
