Hi,
We have recently installed a VG248 (v1.2.1) with modems, fax machines and phones and they work fine. But we also have analogue Point-of-Sales (POS) which unfortunately don't work, in fact the VG248 never really seems to accept the call; we have no CDR for that number in the CallManager 3.2(2c). To test the line we replaced the POS by a phone and it works fine and we see the call in the CDRs.
Does anybody know if POS are supported on the VG248 ? Or has someone got any experience with this kind of setup ?
Any help is welcome.
Thanks,
Fred

What is the baud rate for the POS machines?

Hi,
The POS supports protocols V22/V22+ with rates of 1200/2400 bauds
Thanks,
Fred

Fred,
The vg248 provides 21mA at 36V for talk battery when an attached device goes "offhook". We have seen some phones that require more voltage, but currently
this is the maximum amount we can supply with the current power supply on the vg248. Can you turn on POTS and SCCP debugs on the vg248 per
Then have the POS device attempt to place a call? Please tell us which port the device is attached to for the debugs. /Wes
