Voip - ip telephony self study

Does anyone know of any good self study material for the CCVP or ip telephony specialist certifications? Unfortunately, I cannot afford to pay for CBT training or classroom instructions. I have noticed that mnay of the IP telephony books are a few years old already. Could be that some of these older books are good but I do not want to take a chance. Thanks in advance!

I got my CCVP when it first became available. I belive real world experience is the fundation for passing the exams, however you can definitely begin with self study books, and perhaps build a small la if you can. Here are the books you can use:

CIPT - IP Telephony Self-Study - 1-58705-050-1, also recently released: Cisco CallManager Fundamentals, 2nd Edition

CVOICE - Cisco Voice Over FR,ATM,and IP - 1-57870-227-5

IPTT - Troubleshooting Cisco IP Telephony - 1-58705-075-7

GW-GK no book, a lot of documention on cco though

I strongly recommand the "Cisco IP Telephony: Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation, and Optimization" book.
