VWIC Card not recognized by Voice gateway

Dears,

I face a problem related to VWIC E1 card that not recognized by Voice gateway router 3925. I can find the VWIC card in Show Diag command but not appear neither on Sh Version nor Sh inventory commands. also i can't find the Card type command or controller e1 command. I need your help to fix this problem.

can u share show version/ show diag and show inventory of 3925 router ?

also, which VWIC model are u using and show licenses feature/show license detail

Actually VWIC is not supported on 3900:

It was replaced by VWIC2, which are supported.

Post the output of sh diag, sh ver, sh inventory - if your card is not vwic.

Hi ,

it is is IOS issue.you need to upgrade the router IOS to 15.1(3)T

you are using 151-1.T

Thanks for your efficient help

i re-seated the VWIC3 card before open this discussion. i will do IOS upgrade depending on you and Aman's suggestions but i need your confirmation about this image c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M8.bin.

AS i see in Datasheet that this IOS image is Compatible with VWIC3 card.

I opened the link shared with you which says

Cisco IOS Software Release and Cisco IOS Software Feature Set License Requirements

Refer to Table 1 for platform support. The Cisco 1- and 2-port MFT VWIC3 cards are first supported in Cisco IOS Software Release 15.0(1)M3 and will be first available in the 15.0(1)M extended maintenance release. The Cisco 4-port MFT VWIC3 card are first supported in Cisco IOS Softwae Release 15.1(3)T. Data applications require the IP Base technology package, which is included by default. Voice applications require a minimum of the UC technology package, which is optional.

SO, need to upgarde the IOS.

Its a VWIC3 card, so card is supported. As Aman has mentioned try to upgrade the IOS and hopefully it should resolve the issue. Otherwise if it still doesn't work, you can try to re-seat the card in different slot.

And last option will be to RMA the card if still doesn't fix the issue.
