I am trying to integrate a third-party IP PBX with CallManager 3.3.3 (which is also planned to be upgraded to version 4.X). It seems that the H.323 version that the third-party vendor i using H.323 version 2. Is Cisco using H.323 Version 1.0 ? If so does that mean that I can not integrate the CCM to the third-party IP PBX as they are using H.323 version 2.0? Or H.3232 version 1 is compatible with version 2.0 ?
Please advise .
THanks

CallManager 3.3 supports H.323 stack version 2. CallManager can interop with version 1 and 2 capable H.323 devices.

The question that you must answer is not only the version. Thats a tricky question. You must answer how things are done. Example, CCM uses Empty Capabilities Set to redirect RTP streaming during holding, MOH and transfer. Ans, for example, Avaya does not use ECS for RTP controlling.

Many things you have to look at on both ends like alex mentioned, but your best is to get to CM 4.1 which is the only version to support h.323 faststart.
