My topology is as below

TAP----analyzer port------3750x

F5

I don't have a server or workstation with 1G/10G SFP in it. I am thinking if analyzer port be connected to 10 G port on 3750 and then i can just span the port to a ethernet port....

The main reason to use TAP to make sure all the packets are captured (it is better version of SPAN)

There may be some packets missing on SPAN(some cases) - in the massive traffic environment.

TAP device should have option auto negotiation with your PC.

your solution connecting to Switch again span to PC works, but that is not the best way to do it, i will buy USB to 10GB converter and stick to USB3.0 or thunderbolt 3 port to get outcome.
