Are there CLI commands to do a factory reset of a new Hyperflex system?

Hi Clifford

I See so it need to take a TAC Case to request.

Not having the license shouldn't prevent you from continuing your POC, since a 60-day evaluation period is set when you install ESXi

This resets every time you reinstall ESXi

Hi Clifford

I get a new problem.

When I finish all installation,

and Login to vsphere web Client, It show internal error -

Unable to load resource module form /vshpere-client/pluginui/locales/SrorvisorUi-zh_TW.swf

Is it mean(trandition chinese) not support?

stanleychou,

Can you start a new thread to address this error message?

Hi Clifford

Hello Douglas,

Factory reset on Hyperflex systems

  1. Power down and Delete all Virtual Machines
  2. Unmount Hyperflex datastores from Springpath Plugin > Manage Tab > Datastores > Unmount datastore

3. Delete Springpath datastores from Springpath Plugin > Manage Tab > Datastores > Delete datastore

4.Delete the HyperFlex Cluster in VMware

5.Restart vpxd in Vcenter

--> Linux – login to VC and issue a service vsphere-client restart

-->Windows – go to services panel and start/stop web client

The Installer VM is designed to handle factory installed systems or if a customer manually re-installs ESXI.  Once you re-install ESXI, simply run the installer as you would normally and it will take care of the rest.
