4912 Utilization LED's

I have 4 4912's and I noticed that the LED's for utilization never light up. Is this a hardware problem on these switches?

This is not an hardware problem. The utilization LEDs indicates the current traffic load over the backplane. In a healthy normal network, the backplane utilization is well below 20% and you would not see this LEDs light up.
