Having some issues with connecting a Extreme Black Diamond, with Cisco 6506. Bundling 4 802.1q Gigabit trunks into a Channel-group(Port-channel). We cannot use PAgP(Cisco proprietary ). So, we tried LACP, which is IEEE 802.ad(?) almost connects, but cannot get a ping through. Defined the VLAN within the same subnet on both sides, and can see some traffic on the first gig interface. Where do I get more info on this, and has someone out there connected Cisco-Extreme with a Etherchannel, or just a Trunk, 802.1q
Appreciate any help
Nick

Can you paste the configuration of the 6506? Also, what is the IP address of the Extreme switch?

Is it true that you have to turn on the LACP channel protocol on each interface participating in the channel-group ? like this
interface>channel-protocol lacp

This is optional. Once you have "channel-group x mode active" or "channel-group x mode active", LACP is triggered.

If you want to, you can enable it but it is not a requirement.
