The following 2 docs explain the procedure of the software upgrade for the switch and the L3 module.

I suggest that you boot from the MSFC bootflash. The MSFC bootflash which is 16MB cannot fit both c6msfc-boot-mz.121-19.E1 and c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-19.E1. But in 12.1(19)E1, you do not need the boot loader image even for a MSFC1. So, just copy the c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-19.E1 image to the MSFC and boot using it.

Hi,

.

Can you guide me based on our environment. supervisor-1A-2GE with MSFC1. the MSFC have 16M bootflash and 128M DRAM.

.

The current configuraiton on MSFC.

boot system flash bootflash:c6msfc-jsv-mz.121-11b.E12.bin

boot bootldr bootflash:c6msfc-boot-mz.120-3.XE1

.

can I upgrade to 12.1(19)E1a on the current enviroment with delete both current bootldr and IOS ?

.

Thanks,
