Asymetric bandwidth reporting

Does anyone know if there is a release out there that supports setting the BW statement on your router asymetrically?

With all the asymetric DSL out there, I'm looking for a way to trigger alerting when I peg my upload without generating alerts on my download.

ie. BW of 3meg down, and 640k up.

Anyone know of anyway to do this or if it might be "in the works" on Cisco's end?

This can be done in OpenView via thresholds. You can also probably do the same for free with NMIS (http://www.sins.com.au/nmis/) and some creativity.
