Catalyst 6000 Switch backplain/traffic/load monitor

How can i monitor the load on the switch..?

sh catalyst6000 traffic-meter

traffic meter = 0% peak = 5% at 08:24:37 CST Fri Sep 24 2004

the above command shows 2004 sept data..

Peak of 5% was on Sept 24, 2004. It is normal to see 0% for current utilization under normal operation of the switch.

How can i see the current traffic meter...

sh catalyst taffic shows old traffic meter...

Hi Biju,

traffic meter = 0% which means that is your current traffic utilization of the switch & the 5% shows that is your last peak traffic was on sep.2004. if your switche gets utilized more than 5% then it will get displayed the last peak traffic with the date & time when it has got the peak traffic. clear?
