I am trying to make 2 2620's connect with MLPPP. The problem I am having is that 1 of the WIC interfaces goes into alarm mode after boot up.
When I boot up the router the second WIC will go into alarm mode and not pass traffic. If I then shut down the router and take out the first WIC, boot back up, the second WIC works fine. I can plug either circuit into the working WIC and get a connection to the other side. I have changed out the WICs. I have tried a different 2620 Chassis. I have tried using a 2610. I have tried 3 different IOS images c2600-i-mz.122-21b, c2600-ik9o3s3-mz.123-13, c2600-ik9o3s-mz.122-28.
I know the circuits are definetely good. I am wondering if there is a bug with these older 26X0 series routers that is causing this.
Any ideas?
