Cisco 3660 router does not boot up

New Cisco 3660 router powers on but does not boot up. Does it require a PCMCIA flash card to boot up ?

hi

Try connecting via console and chek where it exactly hangs up.if it hangs on and comes to rommon prompt then u need to upload appropiate ios either via tftpdnld or xmodem.

try this xmodem recoery ..

hi,

The router does not hang up, infact there is no output whatsoever when i connect via console. Further more the system led does not light up indicating that the router isn't booting.
