Connecting 3750 to a 4006

I am having problems connecting my 3750 to our companies 4006. The 4006 can see that there is traffic on the two assigned ports, but is not able to ping the 3750.

I've attached the 3750 config settings.

Thanks,

Can you also post the config from 4000 as well and sh cdp neigh from both switches.

I will post the config for the 4000 as soon as I obtain it from the system admin.

Thanks

Here is the config from the 4006.

Thanks,

Ray Lee

What are the port numbers on 4006 which connect to the 3750?

Ports 6/11-12

Ports 6/11-12

From the config of your CAT4000

set interface sc0 5 10.4.231.2/255.255.240.0 10.4.239.255

From 3750

interface Vlan1

ip address 10.4.229.247 255.255.240.0

!

interface Vlan5

no ip address

Which VLAN do you want to be the management? It is VLAN5 on the 4006 and VLAN1 on 3750 but subnet is the same. Keep the same VLAN on both switches and you should be able to ping between the two

Hope this helps

Does trunking and etherchannel look correct on both sides ? Just from a quick look it looks like they are set up ok . Can you see cdp on this link ?
