Platform that would handle a dial-up access to ISP (No DSL or Cable available). Need LAN and Async (Aux port?) access across VPN to Central Site.
PC - - -Router/VPN
- -Dial-up ISP access - - Central Router/VPN
Async - Router/VPN
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Bob

Cisco 805 router can do that job for you. It has smart serial port which can support async connection too and has ethernet and VPN too.

To add further,
PC - - -Router/VPN - -Dial-up ISP access - - Central Router/VPN
Depending on from where you want to initiate the VPN tunnel to the Central router, the type of image on the local router will depend.
1) If it's from the local router to the central router then will need IPSec images.
2) If it's from the PC then do not need an IPSec image on the local side, since we only care for routing / NATing.
Regarding the router platform, any router with ethernet + Async port + IPSec image (if required) will work.
Thanks, Mak.
