Hi All,
I have a problem enabling our 3 interconnected sites to EIGRP routing.
Please refer to my attachment for detailed view on our network.
Problem scenario:
1. No problems when eigrp is enabled between Router A & Router B:
config use on both routers:
router eigrp 100
network 11.0.0.0
no auto-summary
redistribute static
2. When eigrp is enabled on Router C using the same eigrp setting:
router eigrp 100
network 11.0.0.0
no auto-summary
redistribute static
Probles stated below will occur:
a. Routes from Router B to Router A (eg; 11.200.0.0) will go through Router C instead directly goes to Router A.
b. Routes from Router B to Router C (eg; 11.100.0.0) will go through Router A instead directly goes to Router C.
Questions;
1. Why does happens? Did I miss something or my configs are wrong?
2. Disabled redistribute static, but still the same problem. Why does EIGRP overrides the static route settings.?
3. Does static routes always comes first before EIGRP?Or when EIGRP is enabled does it take over the static route settings?
Currently we are using static on our intranet network.
These are our intranet routers excluding our Internet Gateway routers.
Our intranet connections consist of E1 & T1.
Current Routing interface settings:
Router A:
S2/0:0 --> Router C
S2/1:0 --> Router C
S2/2:0 --> Router B
Router B:
S1/0:0 --> Router B
S1/1:0 --> Router C
Router C:
S 3/0:0 --> Router A
S 3/1:0 --> Router A
S 3/2:0 --> Router B
I really need help on this, It's really a burden for us when one of our intranet connections goes down.
Thanks also i advance..
Cliff

ji-zhu,
Unfortunately i was not able to save those show ip route & show ip eigrp topology results.
But as simulation, it looks like this:
RouterB# show ip eigrp topology
P 11.200.0.0/16, 1 successors, FD is 2172416
via 11.30.1.1 (2172416/28160), Serial1/0:0 > Router C
P 11.100.0.0/16, 1 successors, FD is 2684416
via 11.50.1.1 (2684416/540160), Serial1/0:0 > Router B
Additional Info:
Router A:
S2/0:0 --> Router C 11.40.1.2
S2/1:0 --> Router C 11.20.1.2
S2/2:0 --> Router B 11.50.1.1
Router B:
S1/0:0 --> Router A 11.50.1.2
S1/1:0 --> Router C 11.30.1.2
Router C:
S 3/0:0 --> Router A 11.40.1.1
S 3/1:0 --> Router A 11.20.1.1
S 3/2:0 --> Router B 11.30.1.1
Sorry, i could'nt give a detailed of it.
