Hi
I have a hub and spoke network with 16 remote sites. I have implemented frame-relay traffic-shaping on the major serial interface and this has applied shaping to all of the sub-interfaces. I really only wanted to shape 2 of the sub-interfaces and not all 16. Two questions?
What is the default shaping for a pvc if you dont put the map class on the pvc. The other 14 spokes are running at around 64k.
Is there any way of just traffic-shaping 2 pvc's out of 16 on a serial interface.

Try traffic-shape rate under sub-interface.

Hi,
the default traffic-shape rate is 56 kbps if you don't apply a map-class to the main
interface. Try "show traffic-shape" to verify that.
So, you must apply a map-class to the main interface, which then applies to all
subinterface where no map-class is applied. Try that example:
int s0/0
frame-relay traffic-shaping
frame-relay class main
map-class frame-relay main
frame-relay traffic-rate
With that example you create a frame-relay map-class which limits all other
subinterfaces to the access-line speed.
