How do I disable core dump

I have a 7606 with redundant SUP II's running native IOS. I want to disable core dumps. Can someone please help me with the command?

Are you talking about crashinfo? If so, I don't believe you can disable it - nor would I want to. It will contain handy information to troubleshoot with if the need arises.

Core dumps on the other hand are typically configured manually; you can find information about creating them here:

Thanks for the reply. I am talking about core dumps on the supervisor engines. If I have a failover I want the second supe to take over ASAP instead of writing a core dump. This is mentioned in "configuring RPR+ with supervisor redundancy"

Supervisor engine switchover takes place after the failed supervisor engine completes a core dump. A core dump can take up to 15 minutes. To get faster switchover time, disable core dump on the supervisor engines.

Although, I think it will switch over and continue operating... not pause for 15 minutes.....

Sorry, missed the native part in your original post. I don't know of a method to disable the coredump in Native mode as you're going to use crashinfo's. You -can- however manually turn on the coredump if you use the exception command and specify the core file.

So, I think you're good to go without further config!
