IOS Problem

Hi all,

The router went into ROMMON mode loaded the image through xmodem and rebooted the router but the router again went into ROMMON mode.While issuing the command dir flash: the following error message was received "Bad device name"

please advise me on this issue

which model is your router?

advice:

1)check if the image exist.

eg.

dir bootflash:

2)

use boot cmd boot system.

eg.

boot bootflash:c3660-js-mz.122-3.bin

3)check the configuration about "boot system ".
