Hello Everyone,

I came across and message while going through my morning check list from my catalyst switches, The show environment all command, noticed an issue from a Cisco catalyst switch running Hardware Version: 2.0 Model: WS-C6509. I also included a show version, Looking at the Chassis-Ser-EEPROM: Fan: F is this error that can cause the switch to fail and can I live with it or should I open a case with Cisco and have a part replaced.

Thank you

Rq,

Charlene

Is there any errors in sh logg buff 1023?

Assuming you are running CAT OS:

This may give you more information.

Yes, I would open a TAC case.

But your temperatures all look good so it is probably not critical.

Do a "sh system" and check for the fan status. if it says faulty, have the fan tray replaced.

Hi,

Correct, thank you so very much for the update.
