Any suggestions as to how I can isolate this problem? I have two Cat5509s both with RSMs, only using one of them. The switches are linked via 2 gigabit connections on the Supervisor card.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug
Do you have any Etherchannels in that Catalyst ?
I'm had the same problem, but only when EtherChannel, isn't configured in both ends, i have 6 Cat 5513 in my Network, All is running with the same Software 5.5(10a)

Yes, but you will need to use some hidden command. The message means that a MAC address moved more thatn 32 times in a short period of time causing a MLS overflow. The 'show mls notification'' command will help you indentify which ports the problem is coming from.
There are some notes about troubleshooting the problem at www.cisco.com/warp/customer/473/62.shtml

This usually means you have a spanning tree loop somewhere which needs to be found and using the show mls notification command is a good place to start .
