New 6509 but can't see mods 4-9

Anyone have an answer as to why i cannot see mods 4 thru 9 on a new 6509 that is propogated with WS-X6148-GE-TX and WS-X6148-RJ45 cards. When I do a show mods it only show the 2 SUP cards and a 16 port Gigabit Ethernet card in mod 3.

If you slide the 16 port gig e mod in slots 4 through 9 can you still see it and the same with your other mods, do you see them in slot 3. Are you sure that you have correct IOS version to support those cards, etc.

Are there any lights on the modules 4 - 9? What is the wattage of the power supply? What type of SUP modules are they? The 720 modules take about 315 watts each. I know that it may be a bit of a guess but if your power supply is only a 1000 watts you may not have enough to power up all the cards.

Have you check the IOS/CatOS? Do they support WS-X6148-GE-TX and WS-X6148-RJ45 cards?

How about too many ports? Maximum port density for a 6509 is 384 ports. Try pulling some of the boards and see if it starts to work correctly. These are "classic" boards so they should work in any slot.
