The NAM listed below recognizes the 10GIG modules, however the nGenius does not appear to.
Below is the pertinent info.
I currently have the following NAM:
Cisco Network Analysis Module (WS-SVC-NAM-2) 2.2(1a)
Maintenance image version: 1.1(1)
BIOS Version: 4.0-Rel 6.0.4
NAM Daughter Card Micro code version: 1.31.1.27 (NAM)
Mon Jan 26 11:24:38 2004 Patch: c6svc-nam-2.2-patch-1-0 Description: Patch version 1 for NAM release 2.2(1a)
I am running the following version of nGenius RTM: version 1.4.0 Build 468
It does not apperar that the nGenius supports the 10 GIG modules (WS-X6516A-GBIC) we are using.
The catalyst 6509 is running SUP720's (WS-SUP720-BASE) with the following IOS:
12.2(17b)SXA
Any help would be great

NAM has a built-in Traffic Analyzer/Web GUI which gives you the same features as RTM. So, you can use NAM's Web GUI instead, which works much better that RTM. Also, you may want to upgrade your NAM to the latest software version 3.3 from CCO.

Thank You for the advice.
The customer purchased a Solaris Box @ the cost of 10K, we would like to use the nGenius RTM if at all possible.

Hi,
Have you tried sp9 of RTM 1.4 - build 489.?
I'm not sure if this bug applies to you as I don't have a NAM-2 and if the 10Gb port is the 'second port'.
CSCeb42484 = RTM 1.4 Needs to Support NAM-2s 2nd Monitoring Interface.
Rgds,
Ian
