Hi all.
I need to configure wake on LAN. (I have just 1 router 890, and 1 switch 2960).
Can configure WOL without some server? I mean, can I generate a "magic packet" on the cisco switch or the cisco router?
if it is possible, give me the example of configuration commands, please.
thank you.

As I read the original post I was thinking that it was not possible to generate the magic packet from a router. It is quite possible for a router to forward a magic packet which was generated by a server to a remote destination, and this is what the first link provided by KB describes. But the second link provided by KB does describe being able to generate the magic packet on a router. So +5 for finding that.
The link describing how to have a router generate the magic packet does identify some requirements "You Must have an ios that Supports tclsh and has The udp Library. 15.0 at least" I wonder if your 890 has these?
