I've got a new 2948G-GE-TX and am wondering if there is an available web interface version to download. When I do a show ip http, the web interface version is empty. Is it an option on these type switches and if so do you know where Cisco has the software available for download?
thank you

Hello,
I think you need the Web Based Device Manager, check if you can download it here (you need a CCO logon with sufficient access rights...):
Software Download
Cisco Catalyst 2950 Software

Download the cat4000-cv.8-4-1-GLX.bin into the bootflash from the following page
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cat4000
Once you download it the following page should help(2948G-GE-TX belongs to CAT4000 family)

Hello,
I've 2948G-GE-TX switch (with cat4000-k8.8-3-2-GLX.bin) and aslo would like to use web interface. Can I upgrade to cat4000-cv.8-4-1-GLX.bin?
I search the (1st) link you provided and there has a version of cat4000-k8.8-4-7-GLX.bin. Should I use this one or cat4000-cv.8-4-1-GLX.bin? Please advice.

You will need both cat4000-k8.8-4-7-GLX.bin and cat4000-cv.8-4-1-GLX.bin in your switch's bootflash. The former is a bootable CAT OS file while the latter just provides web interface capability.
Hope this helps.

I used the cat4000-cv.8-4-1-GLX.bin and it worked. I now have the web interface, although it's still pretty simplistic. It just shows you a graphical portrait of your switches interfaces and the status of the ports, nothing at all like the web version of the 3560 series switch.
