What Router for RAS ?

Dear Sir or Madam,

We have this requirement:

Our LAN is connected to Internet, given some Public IPs.

Requirement:

We need a router (low end) which can do this:

- It shall has 4 RJ-11 POTS, upgradadable to 8 POTS.

- It shall has 1 RJ-45 Ethernet port for connection to existing LAN

- 4 (8 in the future) PSTN dial-up users has to be able to do dial-in simultaneously, with user-name and password autentification. Each dial-in user has to be assigned 1 specific public IP given for the existing LAN IPs and granted internet access.

No NATting allowed, means those given public IPs has to be user's identity during accessing the Internet.

Any comment or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

You should probably look into a 2600 with an NM-8AM.

You must be kidding. 26xx went EOS many years ago.

This is best done with a 2811, PVDM2-12DM, VIC2-2BRI

Hi Xkepo, I would suggest go in for a 5350 or 5400.

It supports the RAS Features like Fax to mail, dialup etc.
