Query on adding a new FWSM interface and FWSM debug statement

Hi,

Adding a new FSWM interface

Currently on the Catalyst 6500, this is defined for the active FWSM

firewall module 1 vlan-group 1

firewall vlan-group 1 100,101

If vlan 102 is a new interface for the FWSM, by just entering the command below

will not cause any interruptions to the existing interface vlan 100 and 101.

firewall vlan-group 1 100,101,102

Please confirm.

Debug command

The debug and capture on FWSM do not seemed to work properly. Anyone know if there is a known bug on FWSM version 2.2(1)? If there is, is there a fixed yet?

Hi,

For adding vlan 102 there is no need to include VLANs 100 & 101 in the command as these were added already.

"firewall vlan-group 1 102" should add the new VLAN without any interruptions to VLANS 100 & 101.
