Hi folks,
I have another odd problem while using the bulk firmware feature in VSM 7.2.0.
When using the firmware upgrade utility within VSM, once the cameras successfully upgrade, they are moved out of their child location to the root location of the tree. Is this just a bug or could it mean something bigger.
We are about to upgrade to 7.5 and if its just a bug I'll just deal with it.
Thanks,
-Nick

I can't seem to find anything in the release note caveats, but what you are saying really rings a bell. If you test/investigate after the upgrade, I'd love to hear about it.
Cheers,
Scott

Scott, I certainly will. I just opened a TAC case concerning this to make sure the DB and such is not out of line. We plan on upgrading to 7.5 within a week and want to make sure everything is solid before so.
Ill keep this updated.

FYI - there's a 7.5.1 available now as well... you may want to jump straight to it.

how many of us have jumped to 7.5.1?
I've just upgraded our entire stash to 7.5

I'm on 7.5.1 currently with no hiccups at all. About to test the firmware issue. Will report back with results.

sounds good.

I just got finished testing the upgrade process again on 7.5.1 and it appears that the issue has been resolved. The cameras do not move after being upgraded. One thing I did notice, maybe it's just me, is that when you try to expand a column to see the extended information on rows it does not work. We have some long location names and I am not able to expand out to see the entire path. Not really a big deal but thought I'd throw that in there.

Hello Nick
Seems like you are hitting this BUG and fixed in 7.5(1) which is a latest release or open a TAC case for intermediate fix
