Dears,
I have two new UCS-C240-M3 servers ordered for video surveillance to act as Media Servers along with two separate VSOMs, Now the two UCS-C240-M3 were received with a pre-installed linux over them, but i am unable to give the servers an ip address for the ethernet0 interface, also i am unable to access the redhat GUI.
Shall i make a recovery for the servers to be able to access the red hat GUI, or if there are anyone faced the same issue please advice.
Thanx in advance

Cisco send pre-installed VSM however there is default which you can access to it or you can configure your eth0 from CLI
boot the server you will get into the shell prompt
SHELL> EXIT <Type exit >it will get you the linux prompt.
# setup <type setup command it will open a wizard from there you can configure your eth0 with default gateway and mask>.
once done plug a cable back to Server and Switch and have a network connectivity up.

Hello Ma'moun,
You can try using below default login credentials:
Username: "localadmin" and Password "secur4u"
Once you login to server CLI, do type below commands:
(localadmin)# sudo su -
(localadmin)# passwd root
New password:
Reenter password:
By this you can reset the "root" password and able to login also.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Jayesh
