RESET COLLECTOR CONSOLE PASSWORD

Working for new client, tasked with upgrading Collector to 2.5.2.1 .

In attempting to SSH remotely to software appliance / CLI console (which is currently running at 2.4.5.1), see that default ID / password does not work, and client does not have an alternate. Is there a password recovery procedure ? Action plan is to open a TAC case .... Insights, please ?
