Dear Customer,

Thank you for reaching the Small Business Support Community.

The content filter rules will be automatically disabled if the Cisco ProtectLink service is activated on the router so please double check it is not.  Besides I suggest you to run the latest firmware release v.4.2.2.08;

http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282413305&flowid=783&softwareid=282465789&release=4.2.2.08&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

Below, and just to double check on the "Content Filtering" configuration and usability, is an interesting document about it;

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-36653

Please double check on this and let me know if anything comes up and/or if there is any further assistance I may help you with.

Kind regards,

hi, i still have the same problem.

Thiing is, i blocked facebook using content filtering and using Block Forbidden Domains. but when i try accessing facebook trough https://www.facebook.com the router allowed that request. But when i disable my https request in the router all my https site tools are unreacheable. Is there anyway i can blocked https of social media without blocking any https request of other websites like my webtools?

Thanks CISCO

If you want to block HTTPS websites, use opendns.

None of the Cisco  SB routers will block HTTPS.

Another method you can use to block certain sites is an access rule for the IP address.  Sure, this will change periodicly, but you can still block it this way.
