I have a WICT2 card installed on a Cisco 2911 router. When I run show inventory
the router sees the card. When I try to configure the WICT2 card I receive this error:Router#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Router(config)#interface serial 0/2/0
^
When I connect the serial cable into the WICT2 card, the card doesn't light up.
The carrot in under the s of serial. the router doesn't accept the command. How can I configure the WIC2T interface?
Thank you.

depends on where the card installed slot and module installed.
check below command syntax based on the card installed slot :
still issue - post show modules to understand the issue

The WICT2 card is installed EHWIC2. Also the router does not accept show modules command.

check the module support here (2911 EOL Long back - you may get cheaper card in used seller may be)
correct syntax
show hw-module subslot [slot/ subslot] {brief | config | counters | errors | registers | status} device port

Yes, I need the HWIC-T2 card for the 2911. The 2911 will be connected to a 1841. I can install a HWIC-T2 into the 1841. I found 2 HWIC-T2 on ebay for $45.00 each. I'll buy 2 cards and let's see what happens. Thanks everybody!

In configuring these modules have you used the card type command?

No, I have not used the card type command. Show controllers serial 0/0/0 | include clock did work. Not on network now. Will check on Sunday.Thanks.
