2950 SW enhanced/standard image difference

i don't want to know the all differences, i just want to be sure that the vlans will work:

so, i have a customer that have a 2950 with enhanced image, and he had layer2 vlans, and now he buy 2 more 2950 SWs but with standard image, and i want to connect then with trunk and make the same layer2 vlans with vtp, and thats all.

is there any differnce with layer2 vlans between standard/enhanced image?

pls do not bring me a link to the differnce page, cause i saw that allready, i want to be sure about that point specifically.

Hi Amir,

No as such there no difference on how the vlan works on Standard image 2950 and Enhanced image. But there is a differece on the number of vlans supported. SMI 2950 supports around 64 vlans while EMI 2950 supports 250 vlans. There are a lots of other feature diffrences as well. Please see the datasheet for both the switch models and have the diffrence with you.
