Hi,

I have a Cisco 1750 Router with IOS 12.1(19), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1), trying to use the FXS voice card , but the Router is not sensing the card . The card is in the Slot2 only which is reserved for Voice card.

Any thoughts in this would be appreciated.

Regards,

Raju

Hello Raju,

this is usually related to not having the right IOS version loaded. Can you post the output of ´show version´ from your router ?

Regards,

GP

Thanks GP. Please find the sh ver of the Router.

Can you paste a sh version ? (You need voice feature set to support vics)

Also make sure its not vic2-2fxs. Only version 1 vics are supported (vic-2fxs)..

Raju,

The "y" in "c1700-y-mz.121-19.bin" indicates that you have IP only feature set.

You need IP VOICE feature set to support this card. Your current feature set on the 1700 is IP only. You will need to download the IP VOice feature set from CCO and upgrade the software.

Here is an additional link to supported software versions and hardware.

also take into account the Flash and DRAM while considering the voice IOS.
