We have cisco ISR 4321 router and installed 2GE-CU-SFP module.Router detected ports on the router but they are showing the status as follows
GigabitEthernet0/1/0 unassigned YES manual down down

Module shows working
show hw-module subslot 0/1 oir
Module Model Operational Status
------------- -------------------- ------------------------
subslot 0/1 NIM-2GE-CU-SFP ok
Not sure we have to do anything else.I am trying to connect WAN link to RJ 45 port.
Thanks for your help

Hello @datamodule ,
if you are not using SFP optics and you want to use RJ45 try
interface gi0/1/0
media-type rj45
! this should tell the router you want to use the RJ45 port
Hope to help

- Issue show logging after the port(s) have been configured and or especially after the no shut command has been given, check if any additional info and or errors are provided in the output.

Hello,
--> sh hw-module subslot 0/1 transceiver 0 idprom
I think your subslot is 1/0
sh hw-module subslot 1/0 transceiver 0 idprom

My subslot is definitely 0/1 and the ports detected as 0/1/0 and 0/1/1
GigabitEthernet0/1/0 172.16.10.10 YES manual down down
GigabitEthernet0/1/1 unassigned YES NVRAM down down
