Hello,
I have a Ethernet module (SM-ES3G-16-P) installed in a 3945 router and noticed during first boot no licenses are active at all. I would assume at a mimimum ipbase would be active.
With this module, does static routing work with just ipbase?
Example:
interface g0/1
no switchport
ip addr 192.168.254.2 255.255.255.0
!
int vlan 1
ip addr 172.16.1.2 255.255.255.252
!
ip route 0.0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.16.1.1
switch#show license
Index 1 Feature: advipservices
Period left: 0 minute 0 second
Index 2 Feature: ipservices
Period left: 8 weeks 4 days
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted
License Priority: None
License Count: Non-Counted
Index 3 Feature: ipbase
Period left: 0 minute 0 second
Thanks!

Yes it does. Static routing will work with ipbase.

Is there a maximum of static routes?

Hi,
I do not recall seeing any artificial limit on the count of static routes with IP Base on 3945 routers. I believe there is no practical limit.
Best regards,
Peter
