ASR 1001-X vs ASR 1001-HX

Hi there,

 

i would like to know is there any different in term of configuration for these 2 models of router? 

or any specify configuration?

Hello,

 

The ASR1001-HX is an upgrade compared to the ASR1001-X because of its capabilities.

ASR1001-HX allows more built-in SFP GE ports (up to 12), compared to ASR1001-X which goes up to 6.

Also, the HX model has more TenGigabit Ethernet ports, which allows for a higher traffic throughput compared to the other model.

 

In terms of configuration, both run IOS-XE. It is the same way of configuring on both, no need for any specific configuration in order to have the routers running. It is just a matter of capabilities.

I do not see major difference other than 1 have NIM Slot (- X Mode) - HX come with fixed.

Sir, meaning that if the person knows how to configure ASR 1001-X, he/she also will know how to configure ASR 1001-HX? same way of configuration? 

sure it not make any diffrence in config wise.
