Hello,

The ASR1001-HX is an upgrade compared to the ASR1001-X because of its capabilities.

ASR1001-HX allows more built-in SFP GE ports (up to 12), compared to ASR1001-X which goes up to 6.

Also, the HX model has more TenGigabit Ethernet ports, which allows for a higher traffic throughput compared to the other model.

In terms of configuration, both run IOS-XE. It is the same way of configuring on both, no need for any specific configuration in order to have the routers running. It is just a matter of capabilities.

Thank you.

I do not see major difference other than 1 have NIM Slot (- X Mode) - HX come with fixed.
