ASR9000 ACL TCAM error

Hello,

We are experiencing a very strange problem.

ASR9006 with:

2x RSP440 running IOS-XR 6.3.2

1x A9K-2X100GE-TR

2x A9K-24X10GE-TR

We have several ipv4 object-groups linked to ACLs. When we try to add an entry in any object-groups...

... if we commit with Ctrl+C -> "yes" it **sometimes** works

... if we commit with the "commit" command, we get this error:

pfilter_ea[304]: %PKT_INFRA-FEA_DLL-3-TCAM_ERR : TCAM tcam write error: 'prm_server' detected the 'warning' condition 'parameter or data item exceeded its limit.'

When we try to delete an entry, it doesn't work at all, showing the same error as above.

The problem started after we inadvertently entered to much entries, but after that we removed the group and now the TCAM usage is fine.

Hi,

Can you check the uses with below commands as:

show prm server tcam summary all all all loc <lc>

show access-lists ipv4 <acl name> hardware <direction> resource-usage loc <lc>

If you have space then You may also be effected with a bug like https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCve08374/?rfs=iqvred

(your IOS version is not mentioned in the bug details but maybe).

Regards,
Deepak Kumar,

Hello,

thank you for your reply!

I'm unable to run that command:

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:ios#sh prm ?

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

About show access-lists ipv4 ..., I already checked that command and the usage is fine. It really looks like a bug, I think that the only way to solve will be a chassis reload.
